I left college in 2015, co-founded a company that went through Y Combinator, and have spent the years since helping startups grow. This is the short, honest version of how that happened.

Chapter 01

Where it started

I finished school in Delhi and went to Loyola College in Chennai to study physics. The classroom taught me theory. Almost everything else I learnt outside it.

In 2015 I left college to learn by doing. I worked behind the counter at McDonald's, then found AIESEC, the youth leadership organisation, and stayed for years.

Chapter 02

Learning to sell

In 2016 I led partnerships and B2B sales for AIESEC India from Mumbai, working with 26 city partnership heads and taking our Coca-Cola partnership across Nepal and Sri Lanka.

A year later I moved to Kathmandu as Country Director of AIESEC Nepal, running operations with a team of more than 50 people. After that I led marketing and business for Clap Global, a cultural-exchange startup in Mumbai.

Chapter 03

Unschool and Y Combinator

In 2019 I co-founded Unschool in Hyderabad, an online learning platform for students, and ran the business side as Chief Business Officer.

We were backed by Y Combinator in the W21 batch and by angels including Kunal Shah and Mekin Maheshwari. Over five years we grew to more than 250,000 users. I built our first sales team from scratch and moved us from selling to students to selling to universities and companies.

Chapter 04

Stuttgart, and whatever matters now

In 2024 I moved to Stuttgart to lead growth at caisy, a headless CMS. In 2025 I co-founded Scriptbee, an AI-native marketing platform for small businesses, and exited in 2026.

Alongside all of it, I kept writing. The Whatever Matters newsletter now reaches more than 110,000 readers, and the podcast has hosted guests like Scott Young and Darius Foroux. Today I advise founders on marketing and growth through The Growth Mastermind, and speak at universities and on TEDx stages.
